What we’re about
Conversely aims to create discussion around topical and complex issues. Operating at a grass roots level, we focus on bringing interesting and current speakers into our communities.
We aim to provide opportunities to learn, connect and engage with the world of current affairs, providing converse opinions and fascinating human stories. All the time, donating ALL of our proceeds to the charities of our speakers choice. No one gets paid. We have no overheads or administration costs.
We have chapters in Sydney’s East and the Southern Highlands, with an aim to ultimately roll out more chapters into other communities.
Haven’t you always wanted to know the difference between Sunni and Shi’a? Do you wonder what it would have been like to live in Sarajevo through the siege? How does Australia’s financial market work? Where will our energy come from when the world runs out of oil? These are the kinds of topics that Conversely explores. Through starting the conversation, we aim to create reflective thought, passionate discussion, considered insight and greater understanding.
Conversely – on the other hand, lend a hand.
