We are very excited to invite you to a private tour of the 2016 Archibald exhibition with the Highlands very own rising talent, Zoe Young! The tour is to take place at 11am on Monday, 12th September.
Zoe is a seasoned finalist in the Archibald Portraiture Prize, selected in 2014 with her portrait of Olympic Snowboarder Torah Bright and again in 2016 with her portrait of Indigenous Australian model Sam Harris. She is currently the artist in residence at Frensham school and has just been awarded a very large corporate commission for the new Barangaroo site in Sydney. Zoe is definitely an exciting young artist to watch.
Zoe has very kindly offered to chaperone Conversely members on a tour of the Archibald Prize at the Art Gallery of NSW, where she will introduce the exhibition to us, followed by a guided tour, giving us an insight into the artists and their entries and finishing with a Q and A session.
We will be organising a lunch with Zoe following the tour. For those lucky enough to secure a ticket, I will be in touch to see if you would like to join us.
Apart from offering this fantastic experience, we are SUPER EXCITED to also announce that Zoe will be producing a beautiful, limited edition print exclusively for Conversely. Prints will be $150 each and signed for you personally by Zoe. You may order one of these limited edition prints whether you attend the tour or not. Please email me directly at [email protected] for more information and to place an order.
All money raised from the tour and prints will be donated to Zoe’s charity AIASF. For more details see www.aiasf.org.au
