Ralph Hobbs, who expertly guided us around the Biennale earlier this year, has kindly offered to take us on a tour of the Archibald Prize at the Art Gallery of NSW. As you’re no doubt aware, the Archibald is always chock full of entries from Australia’s best known artists, and having Ralph on hand to share his insider knowledge of the artists, their subjects, and the stories behind the portraits is a fantastic opportunity you really don’t want to miss.
Ralph has been involved in the art world for 25 years as a dealer, artist, teacher and writer. He is a founding owner of Nanda\Hobbs Contemporary (formerly Art Equity) which represents some of Australia’s most dynamic mid-career artists. He holds a Bachelor of Fine Art, a Diploma of Education, a Masters in Fine Art and Design and is a licensed fine art valuer.
The gallery has restricted numbers for tours to 20 people, so book in quickly to avoid missing out.
